Women In the Modern World

I think The Missing Piece just like women in the modern world. Tradition people think when the woman grow up, she should find a man to get marry and she has to give up everything she likes and stay home take care kids. However, the world changed, nowadays women have more opportunity and ability to do what they like and they also can earn their own money and make themselves live well. Some of those women even earn more money than men. But some of them still follow the tradition rules to get marry. But sad thing is that some of man can’t accept their wife make more money then himself. Just like BigO can’t accept The Missing Piece became bigger then him. Anyway, I think is not important what decision that you made. The most important thing is that what is the best choice that can make you happy.

Summary of "None of Her Business"

After Pat went to see her sister’s newborn baby, she was sitting at the bus station and waiting for the bus to go home. Pat saw a blind woman sits near her and Pat wants to ask her if she needs some help. Then there was a man came to the blind woman and said something to her and took the blind woman walk away. Pat felt strange so she followed them. Pat thought the man wanted to hart the blind woman and she tried to save the woman, but Pat realize the man is too strong for her. Therefore, Pat went to find someone for help, then she found a hot-dog stand, but the hot-dog stand told her to go away and it’s not her business. So Pat had to help the blind woman by her own. Luckily, Pat saves the blind woman and finally they both went home safely.

I think nowadays, people in the big city are colder them old days. People are only care about themselves. So we need more people like Pat.

Summary of “Changing Roles”

In the beginning of this article there is a man named Neil Walkingshaw, he asked his boss if he could change his job into part-time, because his wife back to work, therefore, he have to looking after his son. But his boss disagress with him. Neil felt that is absolutely unfair. So he sued his boss in sex discrimination and he won.

As, three decades ago male parents are not allow to enter the delivery room. People take care children or do the chorse are woman’s work and a man’s main responsibility to have food to eat. However, the world change since ‘80s.In fact, according to the research, children will develop differently between take care by father or by mother.

Anyway children looking after by who is not so important. Because every family’s situation are different.Of caurse in the future we hope people can more accept man stay at home take care kids and waman go out for work .

Summary of “Piggybook”

The book “Piggybook” write by Anthony Brown. It talks about a family led a nice life with the children going to school every day and Mr. Piggott going off to work but Mrs. Piggott did everything else. One day, Mrs. Piggott disappears and Mr.Piggott and the chuldren find a note say "you are pigs." Because mom dosen’t at home, the guys tried to look after themselves. Of course they do things badly. A couple days later, soon the hourse was look like a pigsty. They realize they should treat their mother well and give her more respect. A couple days later, Mrs. Piggott comes back, Mr. Piggotty and the children say sorry beg mom not to leave them again. Mrs. Piggott forgive them. Now the Piggott family share do chorse.

The song “Patience” is sing by a UK band Take That and “Patience” is one of my favorite song in their new album “Beautiful World.”I like this song is because it is talk about when you have some trouble or lose something you don’t have to feel depress, because it just need a littlt more patience. Maybe it’s difficult and take a lot of time, however, it will pass in the end. The story in the song make me associate my feeling with Take That. Because I have already know Take that before they disbanded in 1996 and I wait Take That back for ten years. The songs in their new album “Beautiful World” are good so listen, so ten years for waiting to me is worth.
